Two Dedicated Women Have Joined the Foundation Board
"I am excited to welcome Beverley and Mickie to the Board of Directors." — Gary Byrne, President
The Community Foundation for San Benito County is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Board of Directors: Beverley Meamber and Mickie Solorio Luna. The Board provides leadership for the Foundation to carry out its mission of building a stronger community and enhancing the quality of life in San Benito County through the support of philanthropic activities.
Beverley worked for the Salinas Chamber of Commerce for 22 years, serving as the President/CEO for eight years until her retirement. The mother of three, Bev has lived in San Juan Bautista since 1982 and is very involved with community services throughout the county. Her professional background has benefited our Women’s Fund Committee and National Philanthropy Day Committee for many years.
Mickie was born and raised in San Benito County, and she spent 30 years working in Hollister’s finance department. She has always been an active volunteer, but most notably with the League of United Latin American Citizens. In December, the Universidad Iberoamericana presented Mickie with the Honoris Causa Doctorate for her distinguished leadership and positive example to society.
“I am excited to welcome Beverley and Mickie to the Board of Directors,” said Gary Byrne, President. “They both have a vast knowledge of our community and a desire to help promote philanthropy in San Benito County.”
