Now Hiring: Philanthropy Manager or Director

The Community Foundation for San Benito County is excited to announce an opening for a Philanthropy Manager or Director, a key leadership role dedicated to growing local giving and strengthening our community’s impact.

This position plays a central role in advancing the Foundation’s mission by building meaningful relationships with donors, fundholders, volunteers, and community partners. The Philanthropy Manager or Director will lead donor development and engagement strategies, steward existing relationships, and help open new funds that support causes across San Benito County. In addition to fund development, this role supports the Foundation’s marketing efforts, helping tell our story through newsletters, reports, presentations, and outreach that connects philanthropy to real community change.

The ideal candidate brings experience in fundraising or donor relations, strong communication skills, and a passion for community-driven work. This role works closely with the CEO, Board, and committees, and supports signature initiatives and events that celebrate generosity and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 5-year experience in fund development, donor relations, community outreach, or fundraising.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholder.
