Fund Development for Local Nonprofits Just Got Easier

Fund Development for Local Nonprofits Just Got Easier

The Community Foundation for San Benito County is proud to announce that we have received a $5,000 grant from the Teichert Foundation to support nonprofit education, specifically addressing areas of need established through an assessment of nonprofits in our community.

Topping the needs list is fund development, with 21 organizations making this their primary concern. Other areas identified include program evaluation, performance measurement, human resources, board governance, financial management, and strategic planning.

Funding from the Teichert grant will help create a robust schedule of nonprofit education for more than 150 organizations who serve San Benito County. Ideally, the Foundation will hold monthly training for nonprofits as well as a quarterly board education series. Topics will include those identified through the needs assessment as well as those identified through additional outreach.

The Community Foundation would like to thank the Teichert Foundation. This educational series will benefit all of our nonprofits by helping them achieve greater self-sufficiency and effectiveness and give them the capability to continue and expand the services they provide to San Benito County.
