Community Foundation Awards $160,000 in Grants
"Our Grants Committee spends many hours completing interviews with nonprofits prior to making final grant recommendations to the Board. I can't thank them enough for their dedication." — Salina Chacon, Grants and Projects Manager
In partnership with our donors, the Community Foundation for San Benito County provided funding for Matching Community Impact Grants through four different funds held at the Foundation--the Women’s Fund, Martin Rajkovich Children’s Fund, Homeless Services Fund, and Sonny Paullus Fund. With 33 requests that totaled more than $280,000, the Grants Committee had to make tough decisions. After much discussion, 26 requests recommended for funding were approved by the Board on June 12, 2019.
