Committee Established for San Benito GIVES 2020

San Benito GIVES has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2020, and this year a Committee consisting of representatives from a variety of nonprofits who serve San Benito County is organizing the event. The Committee looks to continue the momentum already established for this day of giving in our community. Last year, 34 nonprofits raised $139,323 in a 24-hour period and received an additional $70,000 in matching funds and prizes from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

The Committee is already working on some new ideas to help raise awareness of San Benito GIVES and provide an opportunity for participants to increase the number of new donors for their organization. Applications will be mailed to nonprofits in mid-March.

The Community Foundation would like to thank Lori Arnold (CASA), Nancy Bailey (Women's Club Hollister), Denise Cauthen-Wright (Chamberlains), Salina Chacon (YMCA), Patrice Kuerschner (Emmaus House), Denise O'Laughlin and Rachel McKenna (Sacred Heart Parish School), Emily Renzel (SBALT), and Thricia Whited (Sunstreet Centers) for their time and talent.
