The Community Foundation has a dedicated Board of Directors, and adding new members each year is a great way to continue furthering our mission of building a stronger community and enhancing the quality of life in San Benito County through the support of philanthropic activities.

We are pleased to announce the addition of five exceptional community leaders to our Board of Directors who will serve for the next two years. The following individuals joined the Board in January:

Damon Felice and his family have had boots on the ground in our community for four generations. He is the owner of Felice Consulting Services, a construction management firm. Damon also serves on the Executive Committee of the San Benito County Business Council. He is married and has three boys who have provided him an opportunity to serve on the board of the Hollister Little League for many years.

Dohn Larson is a retired school teacher having worked in the Hollister School District for more than 33 years. He is currently a volunteer on the Community Foundation’s Grants Committee, helping to identify the current and future needs of San Benito County.

Brent Redmond grew up near Gilroy and moved to San Benito County in 1986 as the Founder and President of a local transportation company. Brent is a past board member of the Hospice Foundation for the Central Coast representing San Benito County. He is also past President and current Treasurer of the Hollister Exchange Club.

Kathleen Sheridan has lived in San Benito County for 40 years, and she has a background in nonprofit management and consulting. Kathleen is currently working as an artist and yoga teacher, but always saves time for her 12 grandchildren.

Chang So is the owner and operator of Hollister Super. As a longtime resident of Hollister, he has served with various community boards and groups. Chang is a firm believer, “Giving back is how we build a strong community.”

These new board members are joining continuing board members Marilyn Ferreira (Chair), Rebecca Medeiros Wolf (Vice-Chair), Alan Clark (Secretary), Mike Grace (Treasurer), Phil Fortino (Past Chair), Christine Breen, Vince Brigantino, Kay Filice, Fernando Gonzalez, Beverley Meamber, Allison Rohnert, Susan Schwabacher, Mickie Solorio Luna, and Bob Tiffany.
