Timothy Conley Baldwin STEAM Scholarship
This scholarship was created in 2005 to honor the late Timothy Conley Baldwin. Tim started visiting San Benito County regularly in 1962 and moved here in 2001. He was a graduate of the University of San Francisco. Tim was employed by UCSF in the Department of Environmental Health and Safety, as well as the Human Resources Department. He was a past member of the Press and Union League Club and was active in volunteer work.
The Scholarship is available to high school graduates residing in San Benito County who have an exceptional promise in the field of Science, technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Timothy Conley Baldwin knew the world of STEAM constantly changes and progresses every day. Through education, a student will make discoveries to better San Benito County and enrich our community.
Student must plan to enroll or is currently enrolled in a college, university, trade, or vocational school.

Eligibility Requirements
- Excited about STEAM roles
- Graduating high school senior or graduate of a public or private high school
- A San Benito County resident
- GPA 3.0 or higher (recommended)
- Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college, university, or vocational school
- United State citizen or eligible non-citizen
A Complete Application includes:
- Scholarship Application
- 2 letters of recommendation (one from a teacher or academic advisor, one from a community member)
- Personal Statement (1 1/2 - 2 pages double spaced), including why you want to achieve higher education in STEAM and two personal attributes that will help you succeed
- Transcript (official or unofficial)
