New Year Ushers in Change for Community Foundation

The Community Foundation for San Benito County (CFFSBC) is very pleased to announce that Brenda Weatherly has joined our staff as the Director of Donor and Community Services, a new position within the organization.

Brenda will be working with President/CEO Gary Byrne managing and supporting the 150+ funds currently held at the Community Foundation. Brenda was the Executive Director of the Hollister Downtown Association for twelve years, and Byrne said, “Brenda will be a great addition to the Foundation, bringing her years of nonprofit experience with her.” Foundation Director, Bob Tiffany, said, “Brenda will be a great addition to the Foundation. A lot of us have known her for years, and she’s well-respected within the community.”

With a BA from CSU Fresno and twenty plus years of professional experience, Brenda is looking to use her strong organizational and interpersonal skills to help achieve the goals and objectives of the Community Foundation. Her experience will play a key role in supporting the Community Foundation’s mission, engaging with the community, and supporting fund holders.

Please stop by the office to meet Brenda and welcome her to the team!

Additionally, Curt Mead, Director of Operations & Grants, is retiring from the Community Foundation, mid-January. During his time with the Foundation, Curt has been instrumental in streamlining day-to-day operations of the Foundation and consolidating activities involved with the Community Impact Matching Grant Program. His attention to detail will be missed, and Byrne said, “We wish him all the best, spending more time with his growing family.”
