Monterey Bay Nonprofit Meetup Launched

The community foundations of San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Monterey counties have launched ComNetwork Monterey Bay, a peer learning and networking group for social sector communications practitioners.

As of Monday, 100 people have joined ComNetwork Monterey Bay and 16 people have registered to attend the next MeetUp on Thursday, May 11th, Fearless Communications in a Time of Great Chaos, with Dan Cohen, principal at Full Court Press Communications. Dan will guide a conversation on how to remain an effective communicator during this post presidential election time of “alternative facts” and growing uncertainty within the social sector.

ComNetwork Monterey Bay is free to all those in the social sector using communications to promote their cause. The locally managed group is under the umbrella of The Communications Network, a national organization for nonprofit communications professionals with nearly 1,000 members.
