Succession Planning for Nonprofits

Succession Planning for Nonprofits

Join us on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 8:00 am at the St. Francis Retreat Center

Is your nonprofit organization prepared to manage an executive transition successfully? Are you prepared to best position your nonprofit for a change in leadership, not just at the CEO/Executive Director level, but in other senior positions as well as on the board?

The Community Foundation for San Benito County is inviting Executive Directors, Board Chairs, and Presidents to attend this session presented by Nancy Ragey, of NKR Consulting, to explore the answers to these questions and many others.

You will have a chance to assess how well positioned your organization and board is for short and long-term succession. You will learn how to engage your board as partners in leadership in planning and preparing for succession. We will share strategies and tips for building the bench strength of your staff. We’ll talk about the roles and responsibilities of the board in governance and stewardship and how these important responsibilities underpin smooth executive transitions.

With more than thirty years of experience, Nancy works as an independent consultant providing services to nonprofit and philanthropic organizations in the areas of strategic and program planning, organizational assessment and development, fundraising, board development, and meeting facilitation.

This session will be interactive, draw from the wisdom and experience of participants, as well as the presenter, and leave you with one or two key action steps to move forward in this important work.

If you would like to attend, RSVP with Brenda Weatherly by April 17th.
