John L. and Jean M. Barrett Scholarship

The John L. and Jean M. Barrett Scholarship was established to support Hollister High School graduating students in San Benito County who plan on attending a 2 to 4 year College or University and will continue education in the field of Industrial Arts, including Engineering.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A San Benito County resident
  • Graduate of Hollister High School
  • GPA 3.0 or higher (recommended)
  • Pursuing Industrial Arts major

A Complete Application includes:

  • Online scholarship application
  • 3 letters of recommendation (two from a teacher or academic advisor, one from a community member)
    • School letters must be on official school letterhead. All letters must be signed and dated
  • Personal Statement (1 1/2 - 2 pages double spaced) including:
    • How you will continue your education in the field of Industrial Arts/Engineering?
    • How you will apply your skills to reach your goal?
  • Transcript of most recent grades
