Micro-Loans Available for Women Owned Businesses

The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation for San Benito County is pleased to announce available micro-loans for women owned businesses.

A Micro Lending Team of eight, dedicated and professional women has been working behind the scene on a Micro-Loan Program for women owned businesses, and have come up with a very short list of requirements. Loan amounts may range from $1,500 up to $5,000. Any home-based or store-front business in San Benito County that is 51% owned by a women, and has been open for at least six months, is eligible. Loans are available for equipment, working capital, marketing needs, and inventory, and additional information is available by contacting Stephanie Hicks at the Community Foundation. The application deadline is August 11, 2017.

Their teamwork has enabled this program to become a reality, an opportunity to empower women in San Bentio County to create a lasting impact.
